Found some more of that figurative pattern drawing thing I used to do. Found this one in a sketchbook no less. Pencil drawing this time. Still can’t explain what’s going on here, other than a creative attempt to pass the time.

Face Patterns
Came across this while digging through some boxes and flipping through old notebooks. Basically just a little bored doodling, probably during class. One of the boring classes where we sat listening to long winded professors droning on about some topic I can no longer remember. An academic class of lectures instead of an artistic class of creation. Although, every lecture was an exercise in creativity for me.
Faces
Weirdo little painting I did my last year of film school. I was living in Ojai at the time with some folks I affectionately call the Hippies. Two hippies, a man and a woman, and their little hippie daughter (a mere three months old when I moved in). Also there was a cat and two dogs. Occasionally some frogs would appear in the house. Little frogs. And some spiders. We lived together for just about two years. I finished school during that time and landed my job editing porn. The hippies decided to move back to Denver, where they both came from separately together. They moved to Denver and I moved to the Valley. And during that time I painted this… painting.
